Your post ranking depends on both time and quality. A great post in the middle of the night can get buried in the ranking by morning.

Didn't even get to the top. Got into rising and quickly removed. The post 15 days ago same thing. Got traction and disappeared
Stuff falls out of rising after it hits 1 hour old no matter what. There’s tons of room for improvement there.
At some point they roll over to hot where you have to scroll down a few pages to find it
