Logistically speaking there's literally not enough border agents to even deport 1/10 of all the illegals in 4 years. It gets even tougher when the bureaucracy undermines you and the local governments refuse to cooperate and/or tip off the illegals when ICE comes.
Unless the military is deployed - either IA or if he deputizes millions of sheriffs as ICE agents, it won't do much good. Add to that the costs of doing these deportations. ICE doesn't have that kind of money. So either beg Congress for more or declare a national emergency and take from the DOD and hope and pray for a 5-4 in the Supreme Court.
That's why Dems just import them all. They know these illegals are like bed bugs - insanely difficult to get rid of.

Anyone who wants to circumvent those artificial barriers can just shove people to the other side of the wall and forget about them for the price of a few cattle prods. Its actually trivial. POTUS walks to the oval office from the inauguration and deputizes every American to arrest and deport illegal aliens. Post all known illegals on a website accessible to the public.
Then declare martial law and cut off all funding to sanctuary states. Order their leaders arrested for providing aid and comfort to felons.
A POTUS just needs to empower the citizenry and the problem will be largely handled in a month.
