For everyone who thinks President Trump betrayed us on 1/6 put yourself in his position. No one was on his side. He didn't have a single supporter. Quite frankly I think even if he wanted to keep fighting there wasn't anyone in the Whitehouse willing to set up a press conference for him to do that. I don't know if he was threatened but plz understand he had no choice. Stop judging and try to put yourself in his shoes. It's easy to scream about crossing the Rubicon on here. Doing it and potentially causing a civil war resulting in millions dead is a different story.

Exactly. I don't think anyone - not even those closest to him - really know or understand what was done to him - what he was threatened with - what pressures were brought to bear on him esp regarding his family. I sometimes find myself thinking or feeling I wish he'd done this or didn't do that - but then I remind myself no one has walked in his shoes and no one really appreciates how stoic he actually is. I don't ever think he took his eyes off what was best for the American people and he charged forth on that within the frames he could. Look how fast Biden's executive orders have come out, while Barr kept Trump's backed up with no action taking place. So many things could have been so much different, but how do you fight the army that surrounded him? An army, for the most part, with the full force of the government, media and corporate world behind them. Just the latest example:
