I actually think the FDA is important, and I understand the waiver for elderly people. But allowing healthy people to get it without testing is very unwise.

We could abolish the FDA and start over with some random people and do better than they have been doing.

I might be alone in this opinion, but I actually think the FDA does a pretty good job, they have a decently high standard, when something gets approved by the FDA it does give an idea that it has passed some kind of semi-rigorous testing. Not saying they are perfect by any means, but I don't think they need to be abolished.
