I think the zero experience part is worse. You need to rack up flight hours in order to even be able to fly commercial and also be type rated to fly that model of jet.

I have worked with gay pilots both men and women who went that route and I could careless about their sexual preferences. I cared about how is the jet flying and what's broke. Also about how they understand what faults are critical and which are not. That is just the basics. Not to mention all the other ways of needing to understand charts and weather.

I agree. In reality theirs no way they can fly a commercial jet without the hours. Those are heavily regulated and unless they want planes dropping out of the sky I don’t see anyway they can be put ahead. Not to mention the airline industry is really going to be hurting if they enforce vaccine passports. United is just doing this for good PR to get on the good side of the woke

The airlines want to cut costs and replace their pilots with drones. What better way than to crash a few jets due to pilot error?

They’re filling their training pipeline it sounds like. FAA mandates a minimum 1500 hours of flight time for all Air Transport Pilots.
