We know everything listens to us. We have the option of turning it off in the settings but, is it really off? I’m going to experiment today by taking one of the smart TVs in our home apart and locating the microphone to remove it for the circuitry. My guess is it will probably kill another function but the circuit could probably be jumped. Thoughts?

We specifically bought one without built in camera or microphone, just don't buy them in the first place.

Some devices still have them regardless. Nest thermostats have a microphone built in. They’ve never been voice controlled, so why did they put it in? I’m sure you know why

That is what I'm saying, buy other products. Skip the "smart" features and stick with what has worked for decades on "dumb" products.

Oh I got rid of all of it in my house. Had several Amazon snitches. Only listening device devices in my phone are cellphones and that’s begrudgingly
