I just browsed their political podcasts, seems a lot of based ones at the top along with a lot of lib trash as well. Was just glad to see people like Bongino and Crowder were not buried.
Several weeks ago i opened up spotify to a similar image that said something like stop asian hate or we stand with the Asian community....blah. I've got too much time invested in spotify and I don't wanna stop using it but goddamn these woke tech companies need to stop
Whenever I go to 'browse', I see all kinds of woke/political playlists like BLM, gay, equality, black, stop asian hate, etc. What is 'stop asian hate' music anyway? I don't want to see this shit. Can't we just have regular genres and leave the social justice BS out it?
Yeah, I didn't click it, either. In theory, all this things sound nice, but I'd prefer not to see them on my music app. At least give me an option not to see what political agenda spotify is pushing on a given week. A woke filter would be nice. I was briefly browsing some of the other music services, and it's basically the same thing. I guess the easiest thing to do is use the built-in "filter" in my brain, and just ignore this silly stuff.
There is a really good YouTube video that instructs you how to remove all ads (audio, video, and banner) from the desktop version of Spotify. If that’s how you’re running Spotify, it helps tremendously. And it screws over Spotify too, so win win. Doesn’t seem to be an alternative for mobile devices, however.
I gave up on Spotify a couple years back - when they had the BLM fist all over everything and the 'recommendations' were all woke BS that didn't have /anything/ in common with what I listen to.
It's the easiest way to support non-leftist musicians. Since no one actually buys albums anymore. Just find as many non-woke musicians as you can, put all their songs in a playlist, and listen to that. Rather than quit which makes it so non-leftists can only target a leftist audience which forces them to drift leftward or go silent. I know rockers who wish they could go for a right wing audience but there's literally zero financial reward in it.

The only alternative is torrent your favorites and put them in your phone.
