There is a really good YouTube video that instructs you how to remove all ads (audio, video, and banner) from the desktop version of Spotify. If that’s how you’re running Spotify, it helps tremendously. And it screws over Spotify too, so win win. Doesn’t seem to be an alternative for mobile devices, however.
