Incandescent lights are shit. Only really useful for a few things now - mostly cosmetic. Wastes tons of energy, makes tons of heat, burns out way too fast. LEDs are tricky because people get bad opinions of them when they buy cheap ass ones that won't actually last.

Research Dubai LEDs. It's a law there they can't be overdriven so that they fail prematurely. LEDs that aren't overdriven/overpowered will actually last 20-50 years.

I bought some of the very first LED bulbs to ever come out many years ago, and not a single one has burned out to this day. At some point, they started going cheaper on the internals so they would eventually fail and people would have to buy more.

It's hit or miss. I've bought LED bulbs from cheap brands, and expensive ones, from the time they came out and even recently. I usually get one or two failures in cheaper brands. Less so on the more expensive brands.
