There should be a differential between those that actually serve, and put their lives on the line, and those "in the rear with the gear" that make a "career" of counting beans, and playing GI Joe. The military now needs specialized combat units that are endlessly placed in harms way while others ride a gravy train with doughnut wheels as "specialist". I've seen many with rows of ribbons that are nothing but In country, "unit commendations" , and just being in the military. The military has turned into just another affirmative action bureaucracy with dozens riding on the backs of our real warriors !
