How? The guy represents a Democrat city, and a strong conservative isn't going to be able to win there. Sorry, it's not Alabama nor is it Wyoming. As long as we've got someone willing to sacrifice his own electoral chances by switching parties, someone that voted and supported Trump, and someone who is willing to work with us, then that's the best we can get from there.
