He was literally thanking them for coming and trying to get the word out as to what's going on after all the other media agencies left. He may have been trying to show support without disclosing who he is so he doesn't get in trouble with his bosses.

I also felt that way. Like some relief that someone came back. He knew the media cycle was over. Alex Jones was awesome. He shocked those people.

The entire point of the whole mask wearing bullshit was to prevent the wearer from spreading it if they had it.
