it was not financially possible for us to home school our six kids. so you know what? we made some sacrifices and [email protected] DID IT ANYWAY. four graduated, two to go. all intelligent, well adjusted BASED young people.
My kid socialized with adults first before her own age group. Was extremely healthy to have her surrounded by adults who care for her before she launched out into the world.
Don’t worry - your kid can figure out where to buy heroin and how to tell you to fuck off without 7 hours a day of being surrounded by juvenile delinquents.
The entire school system is designed to neutralize your kid and keep them
Stupid. Once you realize you don’t want your kid socializing with socialists you’ll see a very clear path
Maybe we should have a group on this platform dedicated to homeschooling. A group where many of us can go to in order to ask questions, get advice, share experiences, and encourage those who don't dare to make the change.
I'm reading this post as I struggle with my 6 & 8 yo school this am... It's not easy and takes enormous patience, tons of anxiety, and endless self-doubt. But knowing no matter how bad you may be at it, you'll be infinitely better than even the best public teacher with 30 kids, is great comfort.
The reason for self doubt is because of comparing what you do with an invented structure and standards called education. Am I keeping my kids at grade level, etc. I am a former teacher, yet I threw all that away when raising my kid. I don’t raise her for someone else, but she is my responsibility alone. I asked myself, what do I want her to be like? Above her education, she’s a leather worker, painter, digital artist, piano player, damn good fiddle player, guitar player, singer, composer. I threw her into groups and jams above her level and she rose to the top like all kids will do. If you forget what your kids are supposed to learn at grade level and set them on some course of what they could learn, you’ll be amazed what a 6 and 8 year old can do. Above all, kids want to be like their parents. That’s healthy. School crushes this and most lose that desire.
It's amazing how far public schools have devolved in this regard. When I was in school, we had something called "Pioneer Days" where we learned actual survival skills. At 9 years old, I learned how to clean a fish, spin wool, weave on a loom, and use a flintlock in a public school.
The biggest misconception non-homeschoolers have is that homeschoolers aren't "socialized". I homeschooled my two sons - one is in college now, studying engineering, and one is still in high school. If the parents find great support groups, there are a multitude of opportunities - dances, group classes, field trips, even several "game nights" each month. I also have to note that your children will become friends with some of the kindest and most respectful children you'll ever meet.
Same here. My girl has found a group of homeschooled kids that I can trust her with being alone. No freaking way if they were public school kids. I got some sick stories about what “socializing” out there looks like and this daddy wants nothing of the sort for mine.
If I had a kid and i couldn't home school I'd help them get a GED and then if they didn't want to get some STEM college degree I'd help them decide on a trade where they can work with their hands.
Honest but possibly controversial question: do you think there's any merit to raising your kids to view public school as a battleground? Allow them to attend but be as involved as possible so that they can be a light in an otherwise dark environment? Maybe homeschool up until high school (once they are old enough to understand some of these fights and think critically for themselves)?
That's a fair point. Having a kid definitely changes your outlook on life (at least it should, if you're a mentally stable adult). I'd always planned on sending my daughter to the same public school I went to, because we live in a predominantly MAGA, Christian county in a red state. She's a lot more likely to have good influences at school than somewhere like NYC or California. I think those types of local factors should be considered rather than just making a blanket statement of "all public schools are bad."
With a decision like that, spend a few lunch hours in the cafeteria to find out what kind of environment you are sending your kid into. It may alter your decision. It did for me. Hell no!
I guess I'm not in the loop on how much my local public school system has changed in the past 20 years, because my dad would come eat lunch with me at least once a week all the way through my elementary school, and I went to public school for all of K-12. Thanks for the idea, I will definitely do this.
I live in a red Christian county, but that has no bearing on the environment in schools. If you’ve been twenty years out, you’ll be shocked. If the school won’t let you in because of security or covid, just ask them if you can give yourself a tour as your kid might be a potential student, or find times like a ball game, or dance or Hell as they come out of school and get on buses. I am that adamant about this because in our red Christian county I know of several friends who have lost their kids to the indoctrination. Their kids now hate them.. and despise what their parents are.
How about schools that teach actual realistic approaches to being a successful human?
You know the number one thing which determines if a human living in the western world is going to be successful is how they behave in an environment with other humans..
I don't think little jimmy needs to stay home all day and be taught by mom n dad they need to go off to school and interact with people..
Besides that, adults that have actual careers that make the western world possible don't have time for that shit..
I'm all for exposing the Marxist indoctrination in our schools but the home schoolers are disconnected from reality.
I homeschooled for years, The "Socialization" argument is a fallacy.
He went to parks, Jamestown, Museums, learned social behavior from Me, His grandparents, My Aunt, His friends in a group for homeschool kids to talk or get help with their subjects.
Even on the internet, talking to you right now, is socialization.
Superiority complex! The western world's most prestigious who advanced the lives for millions were all home schooled. I bet history will show that.. Right?
Here's a little bit and piece from a man who knows more about it than you do.
"Trump often has spoken fondly of his time at NYMA and the structure that it provided him, and has even compared it to actual military service. "
Do you think people who care for their own kids are less capable of providing a structured schedule for them to follow than other people who care less for the kids of others?
Homeschooling works. College is a debt scam and huge waste of time.
Source: Homeschooled for 10 years and went on to get a doctorate. Now working a job in business development that I could have gotten with 4 books and 3 years of practice fresh out of highschool.
Jordan Peterson says the exact same thing. 90% of the time a persons success level is determined very early by learning how the hierarchy and discipline it takes to excel in society...
I guess all these super successful people are just plain wrong eh?
Military school, from over 50 years ago no less, is not comparable to today's horrible public school system. Heck, these days - I have no doubt that even the great military academies will be subordinated by cultural marxism / woke bullshit.
Society comprised of mind-numbed perverts who can't write, read or think critically? Who don't know their own history? Who don't comprehend basic economics? Who can't function in a crisis due to over reliance on high technology? Who think that white people are evil, and non-white people are helpless babes? Who are ridiculed out of their faith and mocked for being Christian?
I think we've had enough of that kind of 'education', don't you? This is the society you admire? We are an empire in decline now - all because of this malignant miseducation.
Yeah like all those super successful college grads who are in antifa and/or are marxist professors now?
Homeschooling isn't 'failing school', its legitimate accredited education where testing within testing centers is often provided by the state. Homeschoolers compete at every level and flourish - see the national spelling bee for starters.
If the student wants to be in a s.t.e.m. field, then obviously higher formal education is called for - but in either case being schooled at home during one's formative years is far superior than being babysat by mentally ill democrats for 13 years.
it was not financially possible for us to home school our six kids. so you know what? we made some sacrifices and [email protected] DID IT ANYWAY. four graduated, two to go. all intelligent, well adjusted BASED young people.
yes you can do this.
I used resources at HSLDA and supplemented with books from the Library and research on the internet.
Love hearing this. The Ron Paul home school curriculum is OUTSTANDING
How did you teach them to socialize?
Socialize your child as a family member first.
My kid socialized with adults first before her own age group. Was extremely healthy to have her surrounded by adults who care for her before she launched out into the world.
they taught themselves to socialize. they have more friends than i ever had. more outgoing than i was.

Indoctrinated and sexually confused is no way to go through life.

Nothing I learned in high school has helped me in adult life.
If I had a kid and i couldn't home school I'd help them get a GED and then if they didn't want to get some STEM college degree I'd help them decide on a trade where they can work with their hands.
This is a TERRIBLE idea...
Good one.
This garbage is abusive and will scar them forever.

Go on government assistance. Quit you job to raise your kid. Take the lifestyle hit while also adding burden to the system we WANT to collapse.
It may feel wrong, it may violate your principles, but if we don't start thinking and acting tactically we will lose.
It's not the worst thing in the world to ask for help.
Plus, it's gonna be a good 4 years for leaches
Or you can just teach them to ignore the propaganda? Imagine thinking politics is worth more than your child’s education
They’re not 100% fit, so that’s why you supplement the education yourself

There's too much competition on the job market to fail school.
If your kid doesn't go to college/university or have a natural talent that they are the best in the world at your kid will be relying on you forever.
Yeah like all those super successful college grads who are in antifa and/or are marxist professors now?

You must have never visited a junior high, high school or college and witnessed their interactions in the past ten years. It’s a madhouse.
