They want men to be the choppers and haulers and repairmen, but the decision makers, the educated managerial class, to be all women.

This is to drive the men off campus entirely.

So: bring back early engagements. Conditional engagements contingent on later review. A guy goes to college already in the early stages of engagement, he is partially engaged to marry a girl who is local and known to his family.
