more baseless pandering

This is what I'm thinking. Every time the Left makes some "bold" statement that they're taking action on guns it usually just turns out to be a redundant "law" or "action" that was already covered anyway. Just something re-worded to make them look good because they know their base is too moronic to figure out that the action was meaningless. They'll just believe whatever they're told to believe.

I believe you're spot on with this. Meaningless bullshit to flaunt in front of their base as though to say "Look, we're doing something!"

A lot of people are panicking here that it will be something with teeth. Problem is states can do what they want and there will also be lawsuits combating whatever the shadow admin pulls out of their asses. As a result, the Left will water it down to nothing and claim victory.

The states should have extended their middle fingers and kept it open anyway.

if it is really going to take effect all the idiot did was forced them to transport highly volatile oil via trains

it's not like they will shut down the oil field

It will be the Animas River disaster all over again: Government forcing an environmental mess that would otherwise have never happened.
