Did someone just take a snapshot of positive cases vs deaths and run a very rough percentage or did it come from somewhere else.
just take the total number of deaths in the USA and divide by the total population of the USA
Current estimates are around 500k dead and current population estimates are 365 million in the USA. putting the mortality rate at around 0.0014% or better than a 99.998 survival rate due to COVID.
Everyone suspects the number of deaths to be actually lower due to co-morbidity and therefor the actual survival rate of COVID is more likely 99.999999%
You can do this same math for the vaccine, take the number of deaths and divide by the number of who received the vaccine.
