Are they trying to kill the state? Because New York City is in a death spiral, unless something drastic is done to attract people and businesses back (like lower taxes, more law enforcement with the authority and mandate to keep the streets safe for all people.)

Otherwise, they are killing their state. Maybe in the end, New York will turn red...?
