homocide just means someone died because of another person. that's how guns work in most cases.

Still kinda weird to call it that, shouldn't it be more specific? Like, killed by bullet? The gun might have gone off by accident or maybe a cat caused the gun to fire? Sure you could blame someone for that, but that's not the medical examiners business, he should just say HOW the person died. So just say bullet.

It's someone that doesn't know what the legal definition of homicide means, and is trying to spin up other people that don't know. They think homicide=murder.
