Any type of death that isn't natural and was caused by another person is labeled a homicide. This doesn't mean shit.

Yup. The legal definition of Homicide is, "The act of one human killing another."

If a criminal pulls out a gun and starts shooting at cops, and then the cops return fire in self defense killing the suspect... Even that is considered and labelled a "Homicide"

If someone breaks into your house and has a weapon and is trying to kidnap your kids, and you shoot and kill the intruder. That is labeled a "Homicide"

All it means is 1 person caused another persons death...
