And it won't be the government that does it. Watch the airlines start their own social credit system and if you are offensive online you can't participate in society. Or the grocery stores.

The CCP encouraged companies such as hotels, airlines, and money lenders to track social credit scores and give benefits and punishments according to those scores. The only problem was different companies refused to share social credit scores with each other so the government had to nationalize the system.
