While George Kirby was clearly the one who caused his own death with the fentanyl OD, Chauvin ignored the fact that George was clearly out cold and expiring under him, and ignored everyone who yelled at him to alert him of that for minutes. The knee on the neck narrative is total bullshit, but Chauvin and his partner could have tried to administer some kind of first aid once it was VERY obvious George was full potato mode. Chauvin isn't going to get out of this without some kind of sentence for ignoring Kirby's condition. Just sayin'.
