Ya know, you might think so, but my wife is a school counselor in public schools and I’ve had conversations with a few of her colleagues who’ve sounded very close to this for two reasons.
They were similarly naive to a ridiculous point when it came to their working knowledge of actual right-wing discourse.
They where similarly unprofessional in openly allowing their political stances to bias the care they give to students they counsel. I commonly saw these people openly discuss targeting right-wing students as counselors and call it fighting “Nazis” or “fascism.”
Point is, don’t overestimate school counselors. Most of them are as ignorant and unprofessional as this post sounds.
