Plenty reporting loss of taste and smell from people I see daily. If you get that symptom, it seems to last longer than feeling sick.

Only one person had it bad, and he's old and fat. Nobody else, including myself, had anything nearly as bad as getting the flu. Half the people talk about losing taste and smell, one guy I eat lunch with had his loss of taste and smell as THE ONLY symptoms.
I'll take covid again over getting the flu any day, being super fucking tired and sore for a week with free sick time is great because you can just sleep it off. I've never been able to sleep for long periods with the flu
