I gotta vent here because I really like my new job and want to keep it.

I have a co worker who shares the same shift 3 times a week who often says to anyone within earshot that THEY are non binary something something.

She is obviously a woman. Today she said to a customer who is an older woman “ Oh wow that’s cool I totally want to xyz when I’m an older lady ....... OR AN OLDER MAN. Whatever I choose.”

So wait gender is a choice not whoever is stuck in the wrong body type?

I’ve noticed a huge correlation between when people ignore her and these gender fluids emerging.

That is all. Again, just had to bitch here so I don’t lose a cool job.

Suggestion: just use names when talking to them. Avoid pronouns.

You will never change their minds. No argument will win. Acknowledge their right to be idiots and self-deluded. Enjoy your job. Live and let live. Find internal entertainment when overhearing their twisted rhetoric. Avoid outward displays of chagrin.

Good luck.

Copy that.

Was pretty much my mode of operation in the workplace already, keeping 95% of what I think about anything to myself.

I was more in jawdrop mode that they need to broadcast their fluidity at least twice a day.

I agree, stick to names. However I still say “yessir” and “yes ma’am/miss” to customers, especially to elders, to because that’s how I was raised.
