YouTube took down a video I posted of Ted Cruz in a Senate hearing challenging Covid stats. I repeat - An elected Senator was shut down because YouTube determined his comments were not up to their standards.

This is not funny any more.

So why doesn't Texas arrest any and all google employees in TX for violating the civil rights of everyone in the state? Treat them like the NAZIS that they are. Put them in solitary confinement, torture them, arrest their family members, burn down their houses and kill their pets. What the fuck is wrong with republican'ts?

jtt888 53 points ago +53 / -0

They need to write their own state laws for big tech social media companies and free speech and enforce taxes on them. Otherwise, it's all theatre.

Hshsvsvsvsv 60 points ago +60 / -0

Basically YouTube is getting to the point where it's saying that it supports Democrat talking points and if you challenge Democrat talking points they will delete your posts and account.. this is dangerous election manipulation and America manipulation.. these big tech companies are acting like the campaign arm for the Democrat party. It's time to crack down on them. They need regulation..

14
BasedNtruth 14 points ago +15 / -1

Getting to the point??! Big tech IS a spoke on the Authoritarian Left wheel, they need to be broken into 1000 smaller companies and scattered asap

12
SnowflakeJuice 12 points ago +12 / -0

Wasn't it in the news a few weeks ago that Florida was going to take some action against Youtube/Google?

3
InarosPrime 3 points ago +3 / -0

Regulation isn't the answer. When companies get so big and have power over a majority of online activities, they are a monopoly. Existing anti-trust laws can be used to break up their control.

3
SkippyTheSwampBeast 3 points ago +3 / -0

Its been going on for a while

2
rambler_ontheroad 2 points ago +2 / -0

It was time for that years ago, it's basically too late now. We've already learned that no one's going to do shit about it.

22
ChuckedBeef 22 points ago +22 / -0

Exactly, they need to attack big tech with everything they've got. They are abusing and probably breaking their section 230 exemption rules by removing political content such as this. They need to be stripped of all protections and sued for billions for violating people's rights.

Does anyone really want to live in a society where this kind of one-sided censorship is the norm? Why aren't more people on the other side speaking out about this, because it will come for them next if they don't.

19
the-new-style 19 points ago +19 / -0

The protections would be fine if someone used the courts to find they had not issued takedowns of "objectionable" materials "in good faith" as required by the law.

YouTube, in this case, would have to demonstrate that the DeSantis video was "objectionable" to a reasonable person.

Facebook’s Global Policy Manager of Content Regulation is non-other than Anna Makanju, Biden’s former Special Policy Advisor for Europe and Eurasia. She is also a member of the Atlantic Council, and a fellow if the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

The New York Time's Fact Checking is outsourced to Media Matters (who Hillary Clinton brags about founding), you may remember tham from such films as "Getting T_D thrown off Reddit"

At this point I am still on the fence about the pets. But everybody else can die.

7
DebunkTheLeft 7 points ago +7 / -0

You're right...seize their pets and send them to better owners.

2
Spawnlingman 2 points ago +2 / -0

Correct. It seems when the left wants to fight something, they burn it down, cancel it, shut it off, (take real action). When the right wants to fight something, they post a tweet, write a letter, ask for a donation, make a meme, scream real loud.

LOL. the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED FUCKING STATES got banned by big tech, put your head out of your fucking ass and wake up already.

9
Isolated_Patriot 9 points ago +10 / -1

Yeah, what the hell, did everyone forget that? Or just forget that was the signal they can and will take down whoever TF they want whenever TF they want?

1
UpTrump 1 point ago +2 / -1

And not a thing was done about it. I hate America

0
KuzoKevin 0 points ago +1 / -1

And nothing else matters?

Pull your head out of your ass and try to stay on topic.

2,200 Pedes up-dooted a post that didn't go back in history to bitch about Twitter giving Trump the boot.

Imagine....

-1
excaliboor -1 points ago +1 / -2

If those 2200 "pedes" had the fucking balls to take the country back we wouldn't be in this god damn mess.

The 2200 spineless cowards, including you, can click your mouse as much as you want. Criminals are in power and your internet LARP is as useless as the shit I took this morning.

It's called communism.

4

Texas should then shut down any datacenters it has in Texas. Just march the rangers right in and remove all persons from the building, pull all the pugs from the servers and shut off water. They are in violation of Article I section 8 of the Texas state constitution. Lets see if Google can win in a Texas state court that they have the right to shut down elected officials published works....

2
AdmrlNelson 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's almost like big tech doesn't care and will do whatever helps their narrative and agenda.

I'd bet they'd even go so far as to kick a sitting president off their platforms even if he didn't break any of their shit TOS..

39
Urusovite 39 points ago +40 / -1

Texas / Florida....tomato / tomatoe

-1
Warbeard -1 points ago +7 / -8

Florida is basically just little swamp Texas anyways.

9
SnowflakeJuice 9 points ago +9 / -0

Florida is actually unique, it was always a tossup state, but has been turning more conservative recently

5
ToxicViper 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think he means a literal swamp, not a political one.

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

Was aware of that, my point is that Florida has turned Conservative recently

1
JeremiahKassin 1 point ago +1 / -0

Funny how that change happened right after we tightened up our election laws.

28
whippeat 28 points ago +28 / -0

Big Tech banned Trump. That was the moment when Jack Dorsey because more powerful than the POTUS. Of course they’re more powerful than some governor.

18
SnowflakeJuice 18 points ago +18 / -0

Actually, a governor with a willing legislature can be far more powerful that a President who has a Congress opposing him. Florida can pass it's own legislation that punishes Google for abusing their power

27
Ben_dover 27 points ago +28 / -1

When will republican senators stop allowing google to dictate law, stop accepting their political contributions & actually do something about censorship instead of these nonsense hearings just for soundbites to campaign on?

4
Oda_nicullah 4 points ago +4 / -0

We’re looking at you Jim Jordan.

1
Ben_dover 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yea I remember him very well being called out on fox for his hypocrisy and promising that it would be different this time.. republicans are all talk no action

12
MasterOfIllusions 12 points ago +15 / -3

How does a post with one upvote and zero comments get stickied, especially when it's a link to an unsourced claim on fucking Twitter?

3

Good.

Better full-on censorship in broad daylight then half-cencorships such as shadowbanning.

They have no more excuses now. This means war.

3
GEOTUSMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

3rd largest state? California?

Texas is the second behind Alaska.

3
SophiesBoyfriend [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I should have written Florida

1
GEOTUSMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hehe. Ahh well, next time.

2
remindmelater 2 points ago +2 / -0

What big tech is doing is tantamount to giving medical advice...and unless they're my doctor....that would be illegal....

1
feraxil 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've never thought of it that way.

2
kernel 2 points ago +2 / -0

https://www.bitchute.com/video/R4mnvOnCWdc8/ this should be included in the post

2

Any easy way to mirror youtube videos from somewhere else without having to download and reupload videos?

1
-Lumenatra 1 point ago +1 / -0

yewtu.be . If you put the /watch/gibberish from a youtube url after it, you can watch the youtube clip on there.

So https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uRLJZxINAQ

becomes https://yewtu.be/watch?v=2uRLJZxINAQ (no www!)

2
Jacknapes 2 points ago +2 / -0

Fuck, I'm do tired of Big-Tech censoring people. Section 230 needs to rewritten and these companies need to be sued into oblivion.

2
freedomFrites 2 points ago +2 / -0

These are the same hypocrites that demand "net neutrality", so they can shift the cost of delivering their biased bs over to ISPs. Don't fall for it! How about some "social media neutrality" instead?

2
NedTugent 2 points ago +2 / -0

Truth is YouTube cannot stop me (or you) from doing whatever the fuck I want. So YouTube can be a little bitch and I really don't care.

Also, use AdBlock Plus and you'll never see an ad.

2
cyberwar 2 points ago +2 / -0

Block youtube in Florida!

2
RedditIsCommunist 2 points ago +2 / -0

“Protests” are needed at Google, Facebook, and Twitter HQs.

These asshole companies are completely out of control and engaging in extreme government interference.

2

1

States like Texas need to pass laws that limit the operation of companies censoring people. It would only take a handful of companies to get the policy of censorship changed.

Should start with governments getting the hell off the tyrannical social media platforms. These tyrants platforms are treated like certified outlets and they need to be invalidated by not being used by governments.

They actually need to do this more, maybe then the politicians, RINOs and normies would wake up, it started with AJ, they said oh he's a conspiracy theorist, then the GEOTUS, oh he was mean on Twitter, we need a jolt to wake these fools up

1

Remember lockdowns started with nytimes saying ‘let’s go medieval’

1
redinmn 1 point ago +1 / -0

At some point companies that do this need to be seen as enemy combatants and dealt with in a more physical manner. Entire countries / states can be lost because of companies like this and their intentional behavior.

1
JetJocky 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why would any Governor go back into lockdown ? They didn't work. The lockdown states faired no better and in some cases even worse, than the non-lockdown states. I mean, follow the science and all that right ?

1
sentient-potato 1 point ago +1 / -0

So the CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky can tearfully broadcast that there is "incoming doom" and she isn't fact-checked, but they take DeSantis down for actual, historical facts and data.

1
jennaplayscello 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's an absolute joy to watch. YouTube will soon take their esteemed place next to MySpace, "bulletin boards", and web page frames. And all self-inflicted.
