Back Constitutionalists

MAGAsJustBegun 31 points ago +44 / -13

Police lobbyists don't represent the average police man, remember that.

Same with unions not representing their workers average view.

Every cop I've met in NY and talked to wants us to be armed. They like when we carry.

Hell, my "friend" is going through the academy right now to be a volunteer police man and he said the trainers and other cops were talking to the class about gun control, and said "I'm sure as fuck never giving MY guns up, ARE YOU?"

And btw, I'm in one of the most liberal parts of NY.

Probably the 2nd or 3rd.

49
bitshifter 49 points ago +49 / -0

All the based cops in my family moved on to other jobs. There are good cops out there im sure but as a group i dont fucking trust them anymore.

20
MAGAsJustBegun 20 points ago +20 / -0

I agree with that. I definitely don't trust them. I trust the ones I know, and that's it.

Plenty of corruption in departments across the country.

16
BasedMedicalDoctor 16 points ago +18 / -2

That’s a big problem when conservatives keep quitting the police force. Because guess what’s left over, and guess what the eventual implications of that are.

15
VolareVia 15 points ago +15 / -0

Police that don't follow orders are not police. The problem is one of orders. There's nothing shameful about quitting a force that makes you do things you know are wrong.

4
Sinnister_Agenda 4 points ago +4 / -0

Saying you are a conservative wont stop you from getting the bullet when you come to get my guns i lost in a boating accident.

-1

Okay, but if you're waiting to act against the low-level functionaries instead of going up the chain, you're going to lose.

“Police lobbyists don't represent the average police man, remember that.”

What about the ones dragging moms out of parks or football games for not wearing masks?

3
MAGAsJustBegun 3 points ago +4 / -1

Yup, they are scum, but just like hurting innocent people, it isn't the majority acting that way. It definitely happens, but most cops haven't bothered to intervene in such stupid things.

4
Goldlight 4 points ago +4 / -0

policeman is one of the top jobs for psychopaths, like politicians and executives

0
Dictator_Bob 0 points ago +1 / -1

What about the ones dragging moms out of parks or football games for not wearing masks?

This and police shootings does not make all cops bastards.

5
MightyEighth 5 points ago +5 / -0

I’m not insinuating cops are bastards, but there are some (could be many or few) that will follow orders even if they’re ridiculous or unconstitutional.

We should remember this before we say “don’t worry cops would totally be on our side!” Because we simply don’t know that.

2
Dictator_Bob 2 points ago +3 / -1

That wasn't the point you made with this.

“Police lobbyists don't represent the average police man, remember that.”

What about the ones dragging moms out of parks or football games for not wearing masks?

I would argue that we should be calling them out and demanding they start disobeying these orders. We are not doing this. We should be doing this, and loudly.

I would disagree that we should grossly generalize the police who overwhelmingly supported our President. I would argue that it the enemy spends a lot of energy attempting to drive wedges between us and the police, and now our military. If they are doing this then they have a strategy in place we are unprepared for.

2
MightyEighth 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree that calling them out is the right move, the police are supposed to protect and serve us the people. We need to change that idea that they merely work for local government because that’s what gives them power to “follow orders”. They work for us, the community and individual.

14
Descartes 14 points ago +14 / -0

Cool story. Still not trusting cops.

3
MAGAsJustBegun 3 points ago +4 / -1

Definitely not telling you to blindly trust anyone, especially cops! Never trust authorities blindly.

But just making it known that lobbyist groups and unions don't necessarily represent the most common views of the bunch.

They usually don't, so I don't blame union workers for the way their union decides to back their own demise.

You know the auto workers union sold out to Biden for a price. No way in hell they were representing their workers.

Considering she's out of ft Wayne I'm not surprised. It's one of our big cities and it's a fucking cesspool. Just on a lower scale cause it is still Indiana.

3
Get-schlonged [S] 3 points ago +4 / -1

She an NRA member, also big time right to life person. So it’s got to be these lobbyists pissing in her .

Cops don’t need a list to know who the legal gun owners are. They treat every traffic stop as though there is guns in the car. They know that the legal carriers aren’t the problem.

7
Jeffersonian_Man 7 points ago +7 / -0

Just because she concedes some right wing points does not make her right wing. Until we begin using purity tests like the left our politicians are going to keep fucking us.

1
Get-schlonged [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Trust me she was my city councilman /person and senator. She’s is conservative, she is just ignorant on what cops do. Every car could have a gun. Cops don’t check a database. They can later to charge a perp.

Brown is maybe a little too Catholic and passive about guns

4

Yeah I remember all those democrat politicians that disagree with certain points of the democrats plan too.

3

I am from Indiana. Stopping CC did not make sense so I did some reading on the bill. There was a rider added to constitutional carry for Indiana none of the other states have. The rider would act as a background check everytime anyone was stopped by police. A heavy infringement of rights.

Hoosier Gun Rights Org Their last three posts go into details. This letter especially.

They want a clean law that will stand up to legal scrutiny.

1
Get-schlonged [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

*The truth the OP Presented.

FIFY

1
SteelMongoose 1 point ago +3 / -2

The one objection from police in the article involves accessibility of information concerning laws they're supposed to enforce. There's nothing there about lobbyists. It's not even clear that there was any direct opposition to the bill.

You're being CNN.

1
Get-schlonged [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Objections from the police. Police are lobbying. Are they the voters?

There are 71 Republican senators. This would pass . We DON’T CARE WHAT THE POLICE HAVE TO SAY. our creator bestowed this right that “ SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED”

If you don’t understand the process, then you are a cnn viewer

0
SteelMongoose 0 points ago +2 / -2

People like you are why we lose. You want things to be convenient and simple, and you don't want to have to learn how things work.

Laws that end up being unenforceable are also likely to be seen as unconstitutional. Even someone functioning at your level should be able to predict legal challenges to this law. Uneven enforcement due to the lack of available information is virtually a slam dunk.

And lobbying isn't what you think it is, either. None of this is simple. The second you try to put it on a bumper sticker, you're wrong. Bumper stickers are for herding sheep. The ignorance and stupidity of some people here when the police are brought up is demoralizing. People love the police, and people hate the police, and it is typically out of ignorance in both cases.

2
80960KA 2 points ago +2 / -0

None of this is simple.

Yeah it is. The "complexity" is an illusion that exists to cover up the CORRUPTION.

1
Get-schlonged [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

Go back to Reddit.

The second amendment is not a right given to us by the government.

2
SteelMongoose 2 points ago +2 / -0

Once again, you oversimplify and break out a slogan (which misses the point). We need people like you who understand the principles of liberty, but we need you to get involved and learn what you're talking about. Ignorance will not advance the cause. If this were simple or easy, we'd still have a Constitution in place. The reason we don't is that too many people who thought they supported the Constitution didn't know how to defend it.

2
EricCiaramellaSuxDix 2 points ago +2 / -0

41
Groundpounder 41 points ago +41 / -0

Police union thought-process: “If people can defend themselves, they may not feel the need to spend millions on police budgets... we can’t allow ourselves to be become obsolete”

15
RivalPipe 15 points ago +15 / -0

In Indiana, there is plenty of revenue in requiring a CC permit as well.

3
Isolated_Patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Remember that a cop (an ass in a badge) is forever on the lookout for that one reason to harass anyone they think is 'suspicious.' A firearm, or a search for a firearm, or pretending they found a firearm, or claiming they saw a firearm, is top on the list for reasons to let the asshole out.

Restoring the right of the people to bear arms will take that away from them.

3
RegularAmerican 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not all of them. But way way too many. Which is a serious. Problem. We all need to stop cooperating with any and all of these tyrant agencies. Local and federal. No matter where you live. It's all on the line

Gooseontheloose 38 points ago +38 / -0

"Fort Wayne Republican Sen. Liz Brown, the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee where the bill has been sitting, declined to give the bill a hearing before the deadline, effectively killing the legislation." Why exactly does she have the power to deny a hearing of a bill that has passed the house?

4

You should never give a fuck if people dis where you come from. I was born in CA. Back when it was truly the best state. I remember going to the gun store close to our house, my mom was scared of the night stalker. She took me with her to buy a ruger security 6 with the stainless finish, (.357 mag). Of course the guy recommended her .38 wadcutters. with nickel plated casings. Looking back I think that was an astute salesman because my mom had a limited experience shooting handguns. And that was a good first handgun to buy back in the mid 80s before the autoloaders were the standard.

Sorry to get off track I just love that gun she still lets me shoot it whenever I want. I bought her a bunch of new ammo for it. Some .38 special federal HST hollow points I think are +P as well. Way easier than shooting .357 but more stopping power and nastier wound than the 35 year old wadcutters she always kept in it.

But I just wanted to point out we took home that gun the same day. Idk if there was even background checks. I think Reagan had banned open carry already but that was about it. California was nothing like it is now politically speaking.

Being a conservative and being resilient enough to go against the hive mind isn't easy to do. I'm more impressed by people who hold strong in their beliefs when when every one is against you for irrational reasons

As a fellow Hoosier I am sick of these Rinos running Indiana. Governor Holcomb is a gutless coward and it's sad that so many here in Indiana just vote for him and the other Rinos just because they have an R next to their name.

Holcomb is a huge RINO. All of his proposed legislation is leftist agenda bs. He lost my vote when his first proposal was adding a hate crime law. Most of the Hoosier legislators are fairly based, but there are enough RINOs to get in the way. Most people don’t pay attention to state politics.

They move in and keep their social media friends, never talk to rural people, and complain that we don't do things the way Chicago does. What do you recommend we do to assimilate these people? 4th grade curriculum was the year of Indiana history in public school. What do you do when they get taught CRT during that year and then move to your state?

Beam me up God. I'm ready to leave.

bigbilliam69 6 points ago +6 / -0

From my understanding it was killed because of an amendment made to the bill giving the police a database of everyone with a carry permit on file to access during traffic stops. It’s bullshit that we didn’t get constitutional carry. It’s absolute horse shit that the police unions had an amendment tacked on to create a database of all people with a carry permit for them to access.

I'm from Indiana, and I couldn't care less about "Constitutional Carry". Indiana is a shall issue state. It's very easy to get a permit, I personally have a lifetime permit. 15% of Hoosiers have a CCW, the highest percent in the country! Exercising the right to keep and bear arms is not being denied in my state period.

I want nationwide reciprocity for people WHO HAVE PERMITS. I sucks that when I go next door to Ohio, I have to leave my pistol at home. That's the law we should be worried about.

1
123breadman 1 point ago +1 / -0

Very easy to go to shall issue to shall not issues. If liberals get any type of arm they will take a leg.

1
HoosierHawk 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't want just anybody to carry a gun. As it stands right now, if I get pulled over with a gun, I just whip out my permit, and I'm good to go. With CC, if I get pulled over, the cop will then need to find out whether I'm banned from carrying. I prefer having that question answered in advance.

3

The only concern raised by police in the story is that they need information on who's not allowed to carry if they have to enforce the law. That's CNN levels of selective reading you got going on there.

2
SteelDriver 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't understand the Senators in Indiana. We were one of the first states that had legal carry permits (back into the 1980s), but we lag behind on this and we were one of the first states to institute a bullshit "red flag" law (which has since been made slightly less unconstitutional). Indiana Republicans are too timid. They go out of their way to avoid being provocative in the slightest sense. When they do something provocative and face pressure from media groups (who hate what Republicans do, regardless), they fold like a cheap suit (e.g. Pence with the RFRA several years back). If Indiana were in Georgia's position regarding MLB, Coke, and Delta, they would've already repealed the election reform bill and capitulated to all the leftist demands.

Sorry... I'm angry in Indiana right now. >:(

Be sure to get multiple threads going questioning her mental well being. Start slanderous rumors of her sleeping with the police unions reps.

Make them feel from us what they fear the left will do to them. But be more viscous about it. Make all RINOs be on alert that their careers, their home life, their spouses home and work life will be destroyed for cucking out.

Either they stand strong and do what is right in the face of evil, or we show them a taste of the evil they are letting in.
