I just want to point out there have been plenty of female naval captains of ships in the past.

This particular individual is the problem. There are plenty of other qualified female captains who have had smooth sailing throughout their careers.

OMG get ready to have your mind blown... the USS Hopper is named after Rear Admiral Grace Hopper. Wow that's pretty weird how that all ties in together.

I think they had a female Admiral in charge of NORAD a some years back. Not sure how it went, but those were not NORAD's best years.
