Every time some idiot mentions 'social security' as an example of successful socialism, they need to be slapped. SS is an earned benefit. People pay into that system for decades and expect to be able to receive it. Problem is, Congress has dipped into the SS pot more times than one can count for pork projects while distributing SS funds to those who didn't pay a dime into the system. Its why it needs to be privatized, if its going to have any future.

That was the original intent of SS, but it has become a ponzi scheme. Without new young people paying into the system, SS would collapse.

Yep, thats pretty much what I said. And correcting it requires privatization. Keep the similar 7%+7% employer match but allow people to invest that money into private retirement accounts. A 14% effective retirement saving would be a powerful retirement tool. As it stands now, you lose 14% of your income to SS and have to save another block of your income for retirement savings.

I'm making considerably more money from unemployment then when I was working my ass off full-time. What possible reason would I turn my back on that? Out of some misplaced sense of principle? I don't think so. Society is going to collapse with or without me, so may as well get mine before that happens.

I don't believe any comments on any board or social media unless I know them personally. The Biden Admin has focused on disrupting every social media platform, discussion and comment board with AI/Bot brigades. They've launched a new natural language AI that is impossible to detect. This place is full of them.

True. I made the mistake of replying to one of Biden's posts. Within a day I was flooded with friend requests from bots. They are obvious because they use famous instagram girls as their profile pictures. Some of them even show up as having "mutual friends" because apparently I have friends dumb enough to accept the requests.

Yeah I get those. 60% of comments on stickies here are bots. Majority of the top comments have been bumped by brigades. I saw my comment go to -24 in 5 seconds on a 2 hour old sticky. This is happening everywhere not just here. Obviously position varies by discussion but it's a shit storm. I don't even recognize 4chan.
