I just talked with my dad and he tested positive for wuflu. He’s been in bed for a few days now, he can’t eat anything and he could barely talk. I asked him if he ever had the flu and he said yes but this is so much worse. He said I don’t wish this on anyone! Come to find out he got it from my uncle. My uncle and my aunt have it and they were feeling the same. Also their daughter and her husband had it. I don’t wear mask when I do it’s only at the casino because it is required. Just wanted y’all to know because up until this point I knew no one who had it.

Hope he feels better soon. Tell him to stay hydrated, try to walk and get some sun. Mucinex to get it out of the lungs and alternate tylenol/ motrin for pain. I had it and had to do all of the above. My sense of smell was gone for 2 months.

Thanks I will tell him. He’s also a big baby when it comes to getting sick. But he does have diabetes so that worries me.

Keep an eye on him. It will take time. We just got over it (me and my husband are in our 40s) and it took at least 10 days to feel normal again and we are both healthy. My mother also has it and it's taking her a lot longer than us to get over it. The exhaustion was pretty severe. I hope he feels better soon. Tell him to hang in there. It can feel like it will never end but it will.
