I had to buy the buckles for the placard from http://na.itwnexus.com/ via some Canadian distributor. Just be wary with AR500 plates since there’s some varying opinions as to re effectiveness of their anti spalling coating (hence why I want to go to ceramic plates)

If there's AR500 in there, it's the equivalent to wearing a weight vest. Watch out for your knees though.
There are plates. I try and creep, keeping the vest from bouncing at all and arms from swinging. Chin up, on a swivel
