Florida, the 3rd most populous state in the US managed to count all votes including mail in votes on election day by 10 pm.

Florida, which has the #2 highest population of old people (20%) has slightly less than average deaths per 100,000 from the chyna virus.

This!

With rare exceptions, the virus kills only very old people. Florida and Maine seem to trade off on which is #1 highest elderly population depending on which year and age cutoff. But safe to say, Florida is loaded with very old people. So all things being equal, should be doing badly.

But they are not:

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Click on Deaths/1M pop to normalize by population. New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts still at the top. Florida way down below the national average at 28th, with just over half the rate of New Jersey or New York.

Because Florida didn't force infected people into nursing homes. Click on the individual states and look at the charts to see when people were dying.

The media lies.

Whatever Florida has been doing should be followed by all states. Be like Florida.

Tell them to get out!

DO YOUR PART! It's time we treat them with the vitriol they treat us.

Tell those Yankee Carpetbaggers to fuck off back to commie-land or at least don't bring their dumbass ideas with em

My son is in Florida public high school. They are required to mask up and they have plexiglass all around their desk which is 6 feet away from other desks.

All the students put their masks on, sit in their plexiglass desk, then go to the lunchroom, take off their masks and huddle hip to hip in one booth with their friends. They all know it's BS.

We've had about 10 infections in the entire school this school year and every parent gets called about it. The kids treat the infected like school celebrities, in the same manner that my kid got celebrity status after getting hit by a car while riding to school in his bike in 3rd grade: He was dubbed "Roadkill" for the rest of his elementary school life.

Ironically (?) the same timeframe they opened up is when my state shutdown again and implemented mask mandates lolololol.

Fucking makes no sense.

Idaho - if you are wondering.

They're probably told they'll be fired if they don't.

Xanisor 1 point ago +1 / -0

They are probably correct. Don't blame people trying to keep their jobs.

Same in many states.

I live in LA. It feels like Oceania in 1984. I’ve been in Florida for the last week. It feels like America. (And I’m in palm beach county which is pretty dumb compared to the rest of Florida too)

And then all the blue states that didn’t take the risk of staying open get bailed out

2
Purple_Drank 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was just in FL for vacation... did not put on a mask once, and was not harassed for it at all.

2
missusellis 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've been mask free even when masks were mandated in Florida last year. Never had issues except for the doctor's office who, ironically, wrote my doctor's note that I have a medical condition that makes mask-wearing difficult. Go figure.

These schools, all of them, haven’t spent their budgets because they haven’t been open. Why to they need billions to unlock the doors and turn on the air? They should have large surpluses

My flight leaves next Wednesday with the wife and kids. We have been looking around the Tampa area. Looking to move to FL

Be aware, traffic in and around the TB area is horrible. Also a blue zone.
