People are too afraid of embarrassment to even state their views, and can't even commit to not drinking Coco Cola.
They talk a big game, but they're weak. They don't even truly believe the state that things are in. They doubt themselves to the point of not even speaking it out loud in person, let alone taking action. I realized post election steal that a great many people on the right are planning to lose. Deep down they believe they're wrong, and that they should lose. And they don't really believe a lot of what they say. They kind of do, but they are paralyzed with doubt. And too afraid of looking "stupid" or "crazy" to stand up for what they believe in. Too many people doubt their own perception of reality.
It’s a media thing. People are under constant gaslighting. Then there is the way they will isolate and destroy a target, like Nick Sandmann. Even though they eventually lost that case and had to pay him millions, it was probably worth it for them because it sent a message: wear a MAGA hat in public and we might destroy your life. I agree it’s frustrating that we aren’t able to collectively stand up to these people, but their tactic is to isolate. So everyone goes quiet while the target is isolated and then destroyed by a coordinated corporate media ambush. People think, “If I step in the middle of this, they will just take me down too.” Then people start thinking about their responsibilities, their family, their children. It’s very tricky.
It’s unfair just to blame the American People for this. If anything, I blame the military. It is fucking absurd they ever let it get to this point. Or what about the FBI? The DOJ? Everyone has been busy going to work and paying taxes to pay the salaries of these assholes whose job it was to defend the country against foreign subversion and domestic corruption. It’s not rocket science. But they all broke the social contract, and yeah, it took us a few decades for that to become obvious. And even that makes sense. It sounds presposterous that the FBI would side with a foreign enemy government over the American People, and most people aren’t inclined to believe that, and these people preyed on that trust.
It’s all such bullshit what we have all come to expect. For example, when it turned out the CDC had bare cupboards at the start of Covid, despite billions of dollars in funding over the years, was it really that much of a surprise? These assholes couldn’t care less. And it’s not even that I expect them not to be corrupt, or not overcharge on purchases, or not grift a bit of cash on the side. But at least stockpile a couple masks. It’s a bit of flimsy paper and you have billions to spend. But they care so little that they don’t even bother to do that. Not even the most minimal amount of effort necessary to run the CDC properly. Even that is too much.

It's not that it's too much. It's that it's actually counter to their agenda. If what I've heard about that SPARS whitepaper and the theories to how deeply this was planned are true—and I'll admit, I haven't looked into it enough to be certain one way or another, but every day these things seem more and more reasonable—then having adequate stockpiles would have been a problem, because things wouldn't have been as easy to paint as "out of control."
Even if the COVID theory isn't true, and they just happened to take advantage of the situation, the principle holds true. Their major play is to create and/or take advantage of every crisis in order to advance their power and score political points. It's what they're doing with gun control, it's what they're doing with race, and it's what they're doing, whether planned or not, with COVID. But if all these agencies did what they were supposed to do, if the CDC actually had stockpiles, and if the FBI actually took down all these mass shooters who turn out to have been on their lists, then the "crisis" wouldn't happen, or wouldn't appear to require such drastic solutions.
When your major strategy involves the manipulation of the public through an endless string of "crises," then the choice to invest funding in preparation for crisis management isn't just giving up a tiny portion of your gift money—it's actively counterproductive.
As long as there’s food and an illusion that the fighters are crazy, no one will step outside their comfort zone. Until it’s too late.
