I would like to see every gun store scan prospective buyers social media as well before fulfilling a sale. It's painfully obvious FBI background checks are worthless. As arbiters for the cause it's a small thing every shop could do to help.
They have a hate filled vitriol social media? No Sale.
They have a social media otherwise normal with some minor democrat propoganda? Make it as a learning experience.
Would be interesting to see if it's true, but based on other accounts it seems most of the crazies are never shy about there radical feelings. It's almost never going to be goodey-two-shoes just one day snaps and decides to kill random people, it's usually a troubled person who is overtly mad at the world for one reason or another with a lot of buildup that they make known.
