I think in the game of reasonable doubt, which a criminal court case is, Chauvin walks easy. That said, there is so much Honking going around who knows how it ends.
That's hard to say, if you were basing it on the evidence presented in a vacuum you could take an educated guess. The well has been so thoroughly poisoned and we've seen so many examples of courts and government caving to social pressures it's anyone's guess. One thing's for sure though, we're going to see a polarizing moment just like the OJ verdict no matter what they come up with. The weather is warm and BLM is ready to ruin some cities in the name of social justice.
The media has already attempted to dox the jurors. The threat has already been made and you can be sure, if the prosecution is losing this case, the names of the jurors will be released early, before they vote to apply maximum pressure.
Given he's innocent I would normally say 100 where the hell is the percent sign on this thing.
Given the corruption we're seeing it's hard to tell.
The question I really have to ask a lot of people brainwashed into thinking it's alright to convict an innocent man is what do they think they get out of this?
Because in the grand scheme of things I really don't seen all that many people getting anything tangible from it at all.
If there was a fair trial with an impartial jury, 100%.
In our real world? Probably close to 0%. There's probably at least one asshole on the jury who will refuse to budge and will NEVER vote acquit no matter what. Best case scenario may be hung jury.
I would brace for a guilty verdict. The police chief completely hung him out to dry and expert witnesses seem to have taken a lot of artistic license in declaring that his death was due to police pinning him on the ground. Both testimonies have been completely damning and left little room for doubt of which there is a ton.
Have you been watching a different trial than me? From what I've seen the prosecution has been nothing short of disastrous and practically every witness that gets cross-examined by Chauvin's lawyer ends up backfiring on the prosection. And the defense hasn't even started their case yet or called any of their own witnesses yet.
It’s moreover who those witnesses were (the guy’s own police chief taking the stand and saying this was way off the reservation). Also the expert witnesses weren’t cross examined well yesterday. They left no wiggle room for an explanation whatsoever. The respiratory guy was never asked why Floyd was saying “I can’t breathe before he was on the ground.”
Considering that the prosecution got wrecked by their own witnesses, I’d say it is pretty fucking likely. As soon as I saw the full body cam footage, I knew this case was over. The autopsy report was just icing on the racist cake.

I agree. And I think his lawyer is doing a great job showing reasonable doubt.

I would say that the key are the jurors, even though Chauvin should be acquitted they may not do that, they may be targets if they acquitt him.

In a fair country he would be - not sure that we live in a fair country anymore.
Spoiler alert: We don’t.
I think he'll be convicted on some of the lesser charges but not murder.
Very. A pretty good blog that I've been reading about it can be found here.

Thanks. Really good analysis there.
I christine blazeigh-ford voice: one hundredt percent.
He will be acquitted 100%. And even if he isn’t he will win on appeals abused on jury tampering and poisoned jury pool
Very likely.........

Depends on how anonymous the jury is.
At first I thought his acquittal was part of the plan, but at this point they'll get race riots regardless of the outcome.
True. Which is why the trial was delayed for so long. Can't have mass riots if it's too cold out.
