I see a lot of people talking about kids in cages.

You wanna know something interesting? Take these responses as an example:

Lefist: "They're called 'migrant detention facilities', and they're not wrong"

"But I thought kids in cages is wrong (It's okay when we do it)"

"But I thought kids in cages is wrong (I don't actually believe it is, or otherwise the situation is more complicated than this, but I think this person is a hypocrite so I'll call them out)"

You can't tell if someone isn't a sociopath just by looking at their response to this issue. This is just an example, so don't take it too seriously. I just thought it was interesting that there is functionally no difference in this example between criticism coming from a well-meaning person and criticism coming from a sociopath.... it then follows that there are some out there who obsess over hypocrisy who are really just interested in a rhetorical power grab. AKA sociopaths

(The motivations of the person are in brackets)

You can come up with examples for this all over the place on the left as well. It's pretty common since many self-described communists (think Vaush) are basically sociopaths who believe whatever is convenient in terms of winning power.
