It's not about the gays it's about the neoliberals/neocons using wedge issues to drive their domestic and foreign policy agenda. That's why they are focused on transgenders who make up literally no viable % of the population. If we are infighting as a people over men winning medals over women in sports then we can't demand they bring the troops home.
