These schools are centers of concentrated wealth now. They all have billions in endowments but took PPP money from the government. White people should get as far away from these cesspools as possible. Just because they were once respected institutions doesn’t mean they still are.

This. We're at a point where an Ivy League degree is a straight up negative signal. Do not hire these people.

Lowering the standards to get into college and graduate delegitimizes the college degree I worked hard for and its worth.

College is a sham, anyway (clearly), but now employers are going to refuse to hire people with college degrees because the degrees are POINTLESS.

My children won’t go to college/university (unless they walk out of there with some kind of license). Even still—trade schools can offer the same without brainwashing.

I truly and honestly would prefer my children to be a grocery bagger or a bartender first, and save money to put towards some other ambition.

One of my greatest life lessons was meeting a man who worked in grocery stores his entire life.

He was an area manager, he had a modest house, but he had his toys, he had a retirement income and he still had his family.

You can sometimes do more in life by learning to love what you do, doing it day in and day out than you can always reaching for a swinging brass ring and starting over every 5 years.

For some reason this post made me tear up. You are SO right. I’m a teacher, and I always tell my students this. They will be more successful doing things they love. Some people find a career they love. Some people only work as a means to fulfill other desires in life (owning a home, having a family, traveling, etc.)

Not to mention, I know a lot of people who have massive incomes which are irrelevant because they live so far beyond their means.

I hope my saying the word “grocery bagger” didn’t come across as an insult. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with ANY job. What matters is what you DO with the job, and how you serve others around you. I’m so tired of people looking down on others who don’t have a degree and who assume people are not intelligent because of that. And on the same narrative, insulting people who aren’t well-spoken (while ignoring the content of what they say).

I know so many wise people in my life, and their career field is irrelevant to their intelligence. I also know a lot of dumb people who are KIND and have good souls. That’s more important, anyway, right?

Read right past "grocery bagger", I agree with you. Your post just reminded me of him.

At the time I had tried sales and failed and was glad to just be working in a factory so my perspective was definitely being changed at the time.

It wasn't until recently that I heard you can "learn to love" what you already doing. I was always looking for what it was that I would love to do. Never in the moment always looking for something else. This has been the tragedy of my life.

Equality will finally be reached when that number is zero.
