I often read comments (even here on this site) from Europeans concerning things like "gun control good".
The problem with Europeans is they have never had the freedoms we have (had) and just can't wrap their brains around what freedom truly is.

Based on historical facts, gun control is an idiotic notion and a tool of a totalitarian government.

But you're right, we've never really had that right, only the privilege to own them.
