The main purpose of the second amendment is to protect us from an authoritarian government. Which is why authoritarians hate it.
What about the time that never happened when two Black men successfully fought off violent criminals with a gun.

They don't want people to defend themselves. They want to make everyone completely dependent on the will of a government that purposely leaves citizens unprotected and powerless so they can end up easily slaughtered and/or controlled. The 2A is crucially important to preventing that.
On a side note though those criminals look like Meek Mill and Lil B while the kid looks just like Yung Lean. Like the resemblance is uncanny.

I remember years ago a story of an 11 ye old girl home alone who shot 3 illegal immigrants breaking into her home with her dad's rifle. She was an award winning skeet shooter. One was shot and rolled down the stairwell, the other bled out in their doorway. Only report on it was the local paper.
