See this is what I keep telling my husband re: people talking about an acquittal. If the jurors follow the evidence, yes, an acquittal is likely, BUT only if the jurors actually follow the evidence; if they are “woke” which seems many are, they went in thinking Chauvin was guilty. I don’t have faith that a judge or anyone else will actually do what’s right.

If Chauvin didn't kill Floyd (he didn't) then no jury nullification is necessary to vote not guilty. Jury nullification would be more akin to what happened in the OJ trial. The jurors found OJ not guilty because they didn't want to convict him, even though they knew he was guilty.

To your basic point, though, I agree. It only takes one courageous juror to say not guilty to force a hung jury. I hope that one or several of the jurors have the courage of their convictions to do that.
