Even for manslaughter, the prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd's death. I don't see how a truly impartial juror could reach that conclusion in the face of the other obvious contributing causes of death.

Well, according to their experts, there's no evidence he died of a heart attack, that issue is pretty much out the window. I'd be arguing the "boy who cried wolf" defense. They didn't believe him, when he was in that position that he couldn't breathe, as he was saying that prior. Then there's the fentanyl and the meth issue, that issue is out for me, comparing how much was in his system to the DUI's. The bad heart is more compelling. It'll be interesting to see the witnesses the defense calls. I'd say, so far it's 60/40 he gets manslaughter. Which considering his charges, is a win in my opinion. But yeah, anyway, as I said, I really don't care either way, but so far I'm okay with manslaughter. I won't be discussing this further, I really don't care, I don't want to be spending more time on this. Have a good one.
