I'm as healthy as can be, and have zero worries about this. I have friends over to the house often, and haven't stopped seeing them. We've done 3 major events at the house, with 100+ people attending, with no one wearing a mask.
I have yet to have known someone who died of this fraud.
You'll have to sneak into NY, but it'll be pretty fun when you get here! As far from NYC as you can get, in the sticks where no one can hear my guns, let alone a ruckus party going on. BBQ's, highland games, gun days....its a blast out here!
