They wouldn't make it past the research and planning phase because they'd all get perpetually caught up talking about how landing on Mars would make them FEEL.

Extremely accurate. It's not even a joke, that's how it would happen especially these days. Women can't be involved with engineering and manufacturing projects. Trying to involve my wife in simple home improvement projects turns into an endless series of hang-ups where we have to stop and talk about how it made her feel when I gave her a task to do or how I touched up a spot of wood stain without involving her in that decision-making process.... Ugh.
