They may have reached a plea deal, but I don't honestly see a Judge accepting it.

Plea deals aren't binding. They're just recommendations that the state offers on the defendants behalf. The Judge can look at it and say "You know what? This isn't enough. I'm going to sentence you to x time in prison".

Their is NO WAY they've been sentenced yet. I'd be fucking shocked if they even made it to circuit court yet and entered a plea. It takes a couple months for that to happen.

When you're actually arraigned and plead, you have to plead guilty or not guilty. If you're taking a plea deal, you plead guilty. Then, the Judge schedules a sentencing hearing, which is typically 8 or so weeks from arraignment as there needs to be a pre sentence report generated by the Probation Office and sent to the Judge. With that report, the Judge then determines if the plea offer is appropriate. The Judge can also just rescind the agreement and make you go to trial too.

I don't see them just walking after killing someone. The Judge is going to make them do time. Will they do time past their 21st birthday? Probably not, but I don't see them just getting probation.

Murder/Manslaughter is a fucking felony. It's the WORST crime you can commit against another person. They'll be doing time.

A friend of mine had a drug problem and got arrested because of it but for bullshit. He plead not guilty. His court date was 9 months later.

He actually refused bail and bond, deciding to get clean and actually had charges dropped. He owns his own business now.

And don't forget the police chief who said, "prosecuting them won't bring the victim back to life, so..."
