I will be friends with good people regardless of race, sexuality, gender, politics, religion etc. At the same time I recognise the statistical outcomes for things like crime and welfare are worse when you let people in from various countries/cultures etc and don't feel it's wrong to use data for immigration decisions even if it is race/religion etc.

I really think it comes down to lack of hobbies. These people want to feel important so their hobby is feeling outrage and asking superior.
If more people started playing sport or fishing/camping etc on the weekend the world would be a far better place.
