A Muslim beheaded a teacher on the streets of France because the teacher showed a picture of Muhammad.
Allegedly. The student who caused this beheading walked back their claim and told authorities they had made it up.
So a Muslim beheaded the teacher for no reason?
Muslims gonna muslim. The student told a relative that the teacher had shown a derogatory picture or had said something bad about Allah. The relative then chimped out and beheaded the teacher. Come to find out, when pressed, the student admitted to making the situation up or grossly overstating to the relative.

At some point along the way, I stopped believing most of what I see — be it words in print, photos, or videos. Unless i witness something in person, I just don’t buy into claims that are made anymore. I’m not sure how normal or healthy this is, but it’s just a fact that I am no longer able to react to images like this one, for example, like I naturally would if I believed it was real. But i always remind myself that just because i don’t believe something to be true does not mean I am convinced that it’s untrue or fake. I just don’t know anymore. What I do strongly believe, though, is that news stories can be faked, and there is no shortage of soulless people in this world who’d be ok with participating in fraud in order to reap a financial or political benefit. Sad!
I can definitely see how one could become is cynical especially about MSM reports. But most news stories today are corroborated almost immediately, if not first, by someone with a cell phone camera. Just about everything that follows in the way of narrative from presstitutes is a lie in one shape or form. Beings skeptical is healthy but not believing anything is taking it too far.
Solid points, and I agree that believing nothing is taking it too far. What I tried to explain (not very well probably) is that I’m neither a believer, nor a disbeliever about news. I’m incredibly skeptical, and once that sort of mindset has developed & been engrained, I don’t know that it’s really possible to undo it. As I mentioned, I put effort into not fanning my own flames by reminding myself that I’m in between believing & disbelieving. And when a comment is directed at me, like yours, I’ll always consider it — which is important, I think.
But having said all that, can we admit that the photo does look somewhat fake? The mask is still on the guy, conveniently covering the decapitation trauma, with the elastic still around his ear. And how could any part of the mask possibly remain white after a beheading? It would be thoroughly soaked — not white on the edge & able to keep its shape... right?
Thankfully, I have not seen enough decapitated heads, fake or real, to know what this looks like. I do know a teacher in France had his head lopped off by the religion of peace though.
