Is there a possibility that the states will begin arresting these people as they travel through the country? I'm just asking because, you know... that would be nice.
Social media employee vacationing in FL:
Officer: “Soooo you work for twitter?!”
Employee: “yes”
Officer: “there’s a warrant to arrest anyone employed by the major social media companies, straight to jail”
I'd be happy to see some executives scooped up by state officials and thrown into prison until a kangaroo court denies bail. I'd probably spend the entire day on msnbc and cnn reading about it. Vice, vox... all those hacks articles would be bookmarked. I'd print them.
Honestly while I'd prefer slow death by anthill and honey I'd be laughing my ass off if they snagged them and shook 'em down by half a billion. I'd watch that on Maddow for suuuuure.
No, and that would not be cool. There is a chance however that we start allowing these sites to be sued under state law, forcing them to either change or remove their incredibly harmful platforms from states that value the free exchange of ideas and privacy rights.
