I consider myself a liberal and I refuse to let the commie scumbags drive all the definitions of things toward the left-authoritarian side. The USA is a Classically Liberal nation that values individuality and restricted government. I'm a classical liberal. I like guns and free press and capitalism and politically-incorrect speech and offensive art and voluntary actions/interactions. I want to conserve that brand of Classical Liberalism, but I don't think of myself as "conservative."
And in typical commie fashion, they simultaneously steal the term AND ferociously hate liberals and want to exterminate us every chance they get. If commies hate liberals, I'll happily call myself one.
Democrats lost the blue wall in the upper mid west, and they lost the trust belt, but somehow Biden wins Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania? Bullcrap!
Bill Clinton’s platform was something a lot of us would agree with. Remember blue collar workers were a huge focus of the DNC. They were also for boarder security. They were also very weary of corporations amassing too much power.
If Clinton ran today he’d be considered right leaning IMO.
I'd say most of Bill Clinton's rhetoric was just that; talk. It was called, "triangulation" by his handlers. They knew he had to deal with the Newt Gingrich congress so he had to at least appear reasonable. It is true that most blue dog Democrats have left the party years ago, and the Democrat party is no longer the party of the white working class. But Bill Clinton was a conman. He sold missile technology to China...not a very friendly act for American interests.
