The Chinese Communist Party: They don't share their scientific discoveries like others do. The US, the EU, Japan, and India are all quick to publish their data for others to analyze. China went to Mars and holds their data secret. They're engaged in genocide against the Uyghurs, ethnic cleansing against the Tibetans and Mongolians, and they use their minorities for Live Organ Donations. They screwed Hong Kong... so much for one nation, two systems. And Covid 19 escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, whose virus research was sponsored by the PLA, the Chinese Army. They shut down air travel from Wuhan to other places in China while letting infected passengers seed the world with Covid as they denied to the world and got the UN to deny to the world that there was a problem. Don't fall for the moral equivalency BS. The people are great, but the CCP is a violently repressive totalitarian regime.>
I posted that under a video where the creator was drawing a false narrative along the lines of 'but we do it too,' to defend his support for China's space ambitions. Nobody was objecting to it, so I thought a few things needed to be pointed out. China is not my friend and it's not yours either. I was a little surprised the next day nobody responded. Was it still there? I looked it up on my computer, where I am logged in automatically. Yes, it was still there. Everything looked totally normal except there was not so much as a 'f*** you.' So I logged out and pulled it up. Lo' and behold: vanished. Never there.
That's pretty weird. I've never seen that before, but then again, how could I without looking? And I've never looked before. So I tried it again, this time with a shorter post:
Chinese people are great. But their government is a repressive totalitarian regime. They don't share their space science exploration data like every other nation does. There is no moral equivalency, except with other genocidal regimes of the past. Don't take my word for it, learn about them for yourselves, that is their minorities like Uyghurs., Mongols, Tibetans, and Falun Gong practitioners.>
The exact same thing happened with that post. This time, I checked it immediately. To me, it looked like it was still there and everyone was ignoring it. But logged out and viewing the same comment section anonymously, it was gone. WTF is that? It's not shadow banning because that's what they do to content creators they don't like when they want to mess with them. I know it's censorship, but it's such a sneaky thing that it just has to have its own name. Youtube isn't even allowed in China. Google isn't either. None of what I posted was hate speech. None of it was against their TOS. Every point I made was true. There was no notification given. Surely, if I had violated some rule of conduct it should have been pointed out. The only way I even knew about it was purely based on my own suspicions. If this is a known thing, I sure had no idea about it. With a little trial and error, you could probably figure out exactly what their algorithm is. Maybe you can't mention "Uyghur" and "China" or "Chinese" at the same time. Who knows? Someone should be documenting and working on this. Uhh... Who's documenting and working on this? A free speech org? A congressman? Some website?
Your own comments show at the top & when you logout they are in their place in ratings. Log back in & look again. They do delete shit though. Sometimes algorithms do it, other times, especially on News channels, someone is there reading every comment & suppressing with the quickness.
I understand that. That's just to make it easy to find what you've already said. In this case, both posts were gone completely... nowhere in the comments at all. I went through every post twice on each occasion. Checked my email again this morning and again no word of any actions taken. Come to think of it, if Google/YouTube is actively censoring free speech, then how can I trust them with all my email?
