Voyager is truly one of the greatest shows I’ve ever watched. DS9 is alright but doesn’t hit in the same way as Voyager. I love the old extended universe for Star Wars, but even that is severely outclassed by the full Dune series (Butlerian Jihad is a masterpiece). In the end nothing beats Voyager in my book for this kind of show though.
I feel the same way, but in reverse (though I'd say that Voyager is great, rather than just alright, but I think DS9 is one of the greatest shows ever made.)
Still, wasn't all the old classic Star Treks just great? Before they ruined it in this current clown fucking universe?
I cannot bring myself to watch any of the new Star Trek. They made it into the Star Wars prequels. I did make it through a couple of the Picard episodes but then I realized that the plot made zero sense and they were just using a nostalgia trap on me so I noped out.
I’ve given DS9 a shot a few times, but I think it doesn’t work for me on the same level as Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston always being my fall favorite doctors. I watched them with family. I watched voyager with family.
I see no resemblance to the new Star Trek shows (or Jar Jar Trek movies) with the Star Wars prequels, which were good movies. You can compare them to the Disney Star Wars Knockoff product though.
Christopher Eccleston was the only time I enjoyed Doctor Who though, it was a good show briefly.
